Vessel Manager
We are looking for a Vessel Manager for our Portland Vancouver operations office.
As the Vessel Manager, you would oversee the set-up, documenting, and management of a vessel’s port call while keeping our principals informed daily of the status of their vessel. You would be assigned multiple vessels and would also need to assist others as needed. You need to read a large amount of email traffic and extract instructions and follow through on those instructions. You will need to board your assigned vessels on arrival, departure, docking, undocking, and daily while at the berth, day or night in any weather. You may be required to assist other offices as needed.
We ask that you have, but not limited to:
• Communicate effectively both written and spoken with reasonable spelling and grammar.
• Able to work nights and assigned weekends/holidays.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Able to board ships at anchor and at berth.
• Able to ride a water taxi.
• Have a TWIC or able to obtain one.
• Computer literacy
• Pass initial and causal drug/alcohol screenings.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Be professional, trustworthy, and honest
• Have self-respect and the ability to respect others.
• Able to listen effectively.
• Able to read large amounts of information and act on it without instruction.
• Don’t criticize
• Be positive

Salary – Based on experience – $67,724.80 – $73,000.00
