The USCGC Healy (WAGB-20), the largest U.S. icebreaker and Coast Guard vessel, is a medium icebreaker based in Seattle. Commissioned in 1999, it supports polar research, search-and-rescue missions, and environmental protection. Notable missions include mapping the Gakkel Ridge, reaching the North Pole unaccompanied, and supporting Arctic navigation safety through the Arctic Port Access Route Study (PARS).
